Heckart Community Center – City of Sedalia
Henderson Engineers provided comprehensive engineering services for the newly constructed Heckart Community Center in Sedalia, Missouri, located at the western end of Liberty Park. Designed to meet the recreational needs of residents of all ages, the facility promotes physical activity, social interaction, and personal growth.
Our team delivered full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering, fire and life safety systems, telecom, and building commissioning services to ensure high-performance, reliable, and efficient operations. The center features basketball, volleyball, and pickleball courts, a fully equipped fitness area, and an indoor walking track. Flexible multi-purpose rooms host community events, while additional amenities include a commercial kitchen, convention space, party rooms, child watch area, indoor playground, and the Sedalia Senior Center.
The indoor aquatic facility includes a competition pool, diving area, and leisure pool with zero-depth entry, lap lanes, a play feature, a lazy river, and a slide. Henderson Engineers’ integrated MEP and fire protection design ensures occupant comfort, energy efficiency, and code-compliant safety throughout the complex. Our telecom and building commissioning services further enhance operational performance and long-term reliability.
