The Heckart Community Center is a newly constructed project designed to cater to the recreational needs of residents of all ages. The community center’s purpose is to encourage physical activity, social interaction, and personal growth among community members. Fitness spaces include basketball, volleyball, pickleball courts; a fully-equipped fitness area; and a walking track. The center boasts include various multi-purpose rooms for events and activities, a commercial kitchen, a convention space, party rooms, child watch area, indoor playground, and the Sedalia Senior Center. The center includes an indoor aquatic facility with a competition pool, diving area and leisure pool - complete with zero-depth entry, a play feature, lap lanes, a lazy river, and a slide. The Heckart Community Center is a hub of community activity, providing a space for residents to gather, learn, and engage in various recreational pursuits. Since completion, the project has provided a much-needed asset to the Sedalia community.
