Educating students for more than 50 years, Lois Craig Elementary School prides itself on providing a safe environment where students are met with rigorous instruction and high expectations. Serving nearly 800 students, Lois Craig was in need of additional classrooms and parking space. The new, 2-story, 18-classroom addition allowed the school to keep up with its steadily increasing student population. The design team met energy and cost saving goals by utilizing a VRF system, LED fixtures, and occupancy and daylighting sensors in each room. Henderson’s team also completed site lighting revisions for Lois Craig’s newly expanded parking lot and reconfigured playground structure. With all of this in place, Lois Craig Elementary is ready for the challenge to promote growth in their determined student body.
