Convene
HEI Project Profile - Long
Currently, almost half of American corporations use some type of flexible work environment. With a larger generation of new workers - more than 75 million millennials now entering the workforce – recent data indicates that co-working will continue to evolve as a way for companies to attract talent, cut costs, and fuel growth. In an effort to keep up with a rapidly increasing demand in one of its largest markets, Convene sought out new and innovative opportunities to improve access to these spaces across the country. Offering a depth of resources to support adaptive reuse projects, Henderson served as a key partner for Convene in site selection, building system adaptability, and coordination of infrastructure requirements with landlords. Henderson also paid special attention to the impact of each project’s build-out on other tenants, and how traffic on neighboring floors also impacted our client. Our work included design services in addition to security requirements for a building that includes food service and assembly spaces. Convene utilizes a collaborative design process that includes BIM360, allowing both the architectural and engineering design team to make real-time changes to a shared model. Each project requires a high level of communication and adaptability to ensure the design meets Convene’s requirements.
