HEI Project Profile - Long
In the ever-changing medical industry, universities must remain vigilant about staying on top of technological advances and Kansas City University (KCU) is no exception. Priding themselves on preparing students to be the best-of-the-best, KCU’s Center for Medical Education Innovation brings real-world simulation and the highest extent of application-based technology under a single roof. Accommodating the constantly evolving future of osteopathic medical education, the Center for Medical Education Innovation includes state-of-the-art medical education environments, such as a simulation deck, clinical skills suite, osteopathic manipulative medicine lab, and a multifunctional learning forum/lobby space. Provisions for medical gases were included in the designs of the simulation labs. The underground parking garage has approximately 250 stalls and is served by mechanical ventilation throughout. Our team provided robust energy modeling services which contributed to the building achieving LEED certification. Creating environments where people can reach their full potential is right up our alley. We’re proud to have had a hand in the space that will prepare future physicians to help their community for generations to come.
