HEI Project Profile - Long

In 2019, the state of Louisiana launched a four-year renovation to build on post-Katrina improvements and secure the Caesars Superdome’s place as a top-tier venue for decades to come. The phased upgrades transformed the fan experience with new club and suite spaces, enhanced vertical circulation, upgraded locker rooms, multi-level vomitories and ADA platforms, and a new commissary. Additional work included suite level renovations, new sound systems, sideline clubs, reimagined food and beverage areas, striking atria, and standing-room decks with sweeping field views. Henderson Engineers served as the Engineer of Record for building systems upgrades, including a new medium voltage electrical distribution, smoke evacuation system, and full sprinkler coverage throughout the 2,000,000 SF facility. Despite challenges like COVID, the team helped prepare the Superdome to shine as one of America’s premier sporting venues when it hosted the 2024 season and Super Bowl.
