Othership in New York City will offers a space to slow down in the big, busy city. Offering saunas, ice baths, and social common areas, there is a wide range of experiences to be had at this unique fitness facility. These spaces help patrons tap in and focus on their health, requiring the optimal environment and that’s where Henderson Engineers comes in. Our team provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and acoustics design services for the tenant improvement project in a mixed-use, historic building. With a tight schedule, urban setting in New York City, and landmarked building, the project called for extra mindfulness, given the space restrictions and existing conditions the team faced. The Henderson team provided quick thinking and problem solving through constant communication and innovative design solutions. Some unique components of the project include ERV serving the saunas, heated radiant flooring, and chilled floor system in the saunas. When a patron steps in the door, they will experience a restorative, immersive experience that Henderson helped bring to life.
