HEI Project Profile - Long
Blending modern upgrades with historic charm, Henderson Engineers reimagined three fan-favorite destinations inside Petco Park’s Western Metal Building: the Cutwater Agave Club, the Budweiser Loft, and the Rooftop. In addition, Henderson’s retail team worked on the Team Store on the first floor, a great example of how our teams can collaborate across different sectors on one project. In the Loft, Henderson upgraded the lighting, installed new TVs at the bar, enhanced the restroom sound system, and updated plumbing fixtures. The Rooftop got a full makeover with the addition of a 4,000 SF deck space that included lounge seating, food and drink bars, restroom upgrades, radiant heaters, new video boards, speakers, and lighting. The Agave Club received new AV equipment, lighting upgrades, enhanced HVAC distribution, and updated plumbing. A new interior staircase now connects the Budweiser Loft to the Rooftop, making it easier for fans to move between the spaces. This renovation was completed in two carefully coordinated phases, requiring the reissuance of design documents and updates to the domestic hot water system. By leveraging the building’s existing heat exchangers, we reduced the need for new equipment and improved overall system efficiency. The result was a successful project that enhanced the fan experience, preserved the character of this historic venue, and was delivered on time, within budget, and in full alignment with the client’s vision.
