Shake Shack’s first kiosk-style location opened in Madison Square Park and was intended to be a single shop NYC operation. Since its 2004 opening, Shake Shack has grown and now boasts more than 162 locations worldwide. Henderson Engineers provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services for these high-profile burger and shake restaurants for dine-in and carry-out on 135 locations nationwide. The engineering systems include split air handler and condensing systems, cooking exhaust and makeup systems, internal grease interceptors, heat reclaim hot water system, decor lighting and dimmable systems, ADA compliant plumbing fixtures, and  multi-level design aspects
