The centerpiece of this expansion is a new women and infants tower featuring a dedicated entrance, along with a new emergency department and trauma center, and the relocation of the main hospital entrance. The upgraded emergency department will include six trauma rooms, six behavioral health rooms with an open unit, and 34 exam rooms. The new women and infants tower will house antepartum rooms, an OB emergency department, 12 labor, delivery, and recovery rooms, C-section rooms, 18 NICU bassinets, 24 postpartum rooms, eight OBGYN/PEDS rooms, and eight bassinet nursery spaces. This project marks the hospital’s largest expansion to date.
