The St. Charles Maintenance Campus includes both light-duty and heavy-duty vehicle maintenance areas, tire shop, small engine repair, parts storage, lube/compressor area, and welding area. The street division facility includes a street division shop, sign shop, training room, lockers, and administrative offices. Henderson Engineers participated in the master planning for a full build-out of the site which includes: 16,000 SF fleet maintenance facility 14,000 SF administration and street division facility 3,300 SF wash building 8,000 SF fleet storage facility For this multi-phased project, Henderson Engineers was reengaged in 2020 to complete the construction for the wash building and heated fleet storage addition. Understanding client goals is a key part of our approach at Henderson. For this project, it was a critical requirement to have effective ventilation and heating in the fleet maintenance and work areas to keep employees safe and comfortable. Henderson was also actively involved in analyzing and presenting various system options for the owner and design team to identify the right solution for those goals.
