The Patient-Centered Care Learning Center is part of the University of Missouri's School of Medicine and strives to provide a learning environment where students can grow in problem-based learning spaces. The Center is home to an anatomy lab, active learning classroom, clinical simulation rooms, problem-based learning classrooms, student seminar rooms, faculty office space, and student lounge areas for collaborative interaction. The 6-story vertical expansion houses simulation suites with patient headwalls using medical gas connections, simulated exam rooms for use with standard patients, large anatomy labs, classrooms, open and private offices, and a large meeting area with raised access floor. The campus utility design and mechanical systems design included dedicated outside air, heat recovery, steam, and chilled water. Photos courtesy of: Nick Merrick, Hall Merrick Photographers
