Beneath the same canopy of the new SoFi Stadium and American Airlines Plaza is YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park. This 6,000 seat, three-story, 227,000 square-foot venue is part of the 298-acre Hollywood Park development revitalizing Inglewood, California. Henderson Engineers provided building systems design for the multi-use venue. The performance venue offers the flexibility to adjust capacity based on the needs of each performance. The versatile design is capable of hosting events from concerts and award shows to esports competitions and special events. The mechanical system for the building was designed knowing the stadium adjacent to the performance venue had capacity that could be used at different times. Utilizing the diversity of schedule, this allowed the project to minimize equipment footprint within the performance venue along with the cost of a stand alone system.
