Henderson Health Sector Executive Discusses Benefits of All-Electric Hospitals

Healthcare Design Magazine has published an article by Mark Chrisman, health sector executive at Henderson Engineers, espousing the benefits of all-electric hospitals. Such facilities use electricity instead of fossil fuels, like natural gas and coal, to power critical operations like heating, cooling, and refrigeration. Chrisman dives into the environmental benefits as well as the economic, operational, and design considerations of building these facilities. The article follows Henderson’s recent completion of Prosser Memorial Health Hospital, an all-electric facility in Prosser, Wash., that serves as a case study for Chrisman’s insights.
