LENEXA, Kan. — Henderson Companies, the parent company of Henderson Engineers and Henderson Building Solutions, is proud to announce the appointment of two leaders within its venue sector, which specializes in the design and construction of large-scale, multipurpose facilities nationwide. Bridget Lowe has joined the firm as convention center practice director and Jason Kartak has been promoted to entertainment practice director.
Lowe brings 15 years of industry experience to her new role, where she will lead Henderson’s convention center practice. Her responsibilities include overseeing client experience, technical quality, innovation, business development, and employee engagement. Before joining Henderson, Lowe served as a principal at a global architecture firm and the principal and chief marketing officer at a national architecture, planning, and design firm. She succeeds Russ Murdock, who remains with Henderson as the venue sector’s technical director.
In his new role, Kartak leads Henderson’s entertainment practice, whose areas of expertise include performing arts centers, amphitheaters, experiential spaces, theaters, and other immersive environments. He brings more than 30 years of industry experience, including a distinguished career as a touring engineer, manager, and consultant before joining Henderson in 2023. Kartak succeeds Mischa Haramia, who retired after more than three decades with Henderson.
“Bridget and Jason bring the experience, vision, and people-first leadership that reflect the strength of our venue team,” said Ryan Starkovich, Henderson’s venue sector executive. “Their leadership will help build on our momentum, deepen our convention center and entertainment expertise, and continue delivering innovative, memorable spaces that bring communities together.”
