HEI Project Profile - Long

As a specialist in procurement, construction, and consulting, Black & Veatch ranks as one of the largest privately owned companies in the United States. In 2010, Henderson Engineers and Black & Veatch joined together to design an $80 million, multi-phased addition to include a total of eight floors, each totaling more than 75,000 square feet. With a goal to maximize their open office space floor plan, Henderson designed building system solutions for an auditorium, conference center, fitness and wellness center, kitchen, and cafeteria. Henderson also supported the design of the Innovation Pavilion, a unique space integrated to the existing Black & Veatch office building. A technological achievement, this sustainable space includes a client briefing center with video conferencing capability, dining and meeting space, and a courtyard suitable for company activities. This project was LEED Certified in 2015.
