Henderson Engineers provided building systems design services for this new public safety facility located on 13 acres in the City of Casa Grande. The facility houses the city’s police and fire department headquarters and their emergency operations center and several divisions including: Patrol, criminal investigations, criminal forensics analysis and lab, special operations, administrative offices, volunteer corps, short- and medium-term detention, 911 dispatch, long-and short-term evidence storage, vehicle maintenance, impound lot, indoor five lane shooting range, MILO fire arms training room, physical fitness and training center, K-9 patrol units and training grounds, SWAT, classrooms, community room, short- and long-term records storage, secured parking area, an outdoor ½ mile running track and basketball court/helipad. The firing range is air conditioned and has HEPA filtration, five lanes of fully computerized targeting systems, range master’s office, armory, firearms repair shop, firearms cleaning stations, MILO, and Training Room Emergency Operations and Training Center which doubles as a 60+ seat tiered auditorium integrated with state-of-the-art audio-video Systems, divisible classrooms, commercial grade kitchen and break rooms, dispatch/911 center, emergency generator, and communications monopole.
