Medical City Dallas Hospital is known for its state-of-the-art medical facilities and commitment to excellence in patient care. With this kind of reputation, it is no surprise that Medical City Dallas Hospital prioritized upgrading their medical gas system. With the goals of creating a centralized system and integrating levels of redundancy the hospital engaged Henderson Building Solutions to make it work. As always, our team started with a condition assessment, met with facility staff to determine the typical level of use, and identified applicable code requirements that would impact design and construction. Based on the existing system and the hospital’s goals, Henderson proposed replacing the outdated equipment in the existing plant and creating another medical gas plant to serve the three buildings that were not serviced. Installing equipment in the new medical gas plant required short service interruptions. Our team worked directly with the owner to determine shutdown schedules throughout the project. The new medical gas system and equipment not only provide the hospital ease of operation, it also gives them peace of mind.
