HEI Project Profile - Long
One of only two stadiums in the NFL to house two franchises, MetLife Stadium serves as the home to both the New York Giants and the New York Jets. As one of the selected venues for FIFA World Cup 2026™ and the host site of the tournament’s championship match, MetLife Stadium is recognized as one of the world’s premier sports and entertainment destinations. So, when it came time to make improvements to premium spaces within the stadium, incorporating both personalities was key to project success. Design included a New York Jet’s Owner suite, team and party suites, two premium bars, and four unique sponsor zones consisting of suites for Pepsi, Verizon, MetLife, and Budweiser. Other features included multiple concessions, signage elements and exterior plazas, 50 Yard Line Club, West Great Hall Club, and updates to the fan experience and food service offerings on the main and upper concourse along with a new south end zone scoreboard. In addition, Henderson designed the backup power generator for the wireless telecommunications systems. Working with each stakeholder—the teams, facility operators, premium sponsors, and the architect—Henderson Engineers provided innovative building system solutions to maximize the fan experience within each space and create unique branding environments in each quadrant of the building giving a unique feel for each sponsor zone.
