Pirch is among a new wave of experiential retailers offering shoppers hands-on access to the latest in smart appliances and home technology. By designing fully functional kitchen, bath, and outdoor environments, all with individual controls for energy efficiency, customers are able to test high-end products before they buy. Located in a former ironworks building in SoHo, Pirch turned to HNY Consulting Engineers to bring this space to life. Our team carefully located each MEP device in the space to avoid distraction from the components the retailer wanted the client to focus on during their visit to the showroom. HNY provided a full suite of services to the three-story 32,000 SF showroom, including all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire and life safety needs. This historic site, modified to provide the level of required MEP utilities that normally reside in a full restaurant, was well-coordinated to apply our system designs to multiple locations within this high end retail space. *Professional engineering services in the states of New York, North Carolina, and Michigan are provided by HNY Consulting Engineers.
