Henderson Engineers worked alongside the owner, city, and architect to deliver this world-class venue. As part of the unique goals for Austin, we helped the owner match their technology needs with what’s next in technology; ensuring the stadium is ready to adapt to the ever-changing tech landscape into the future. This includes public DAS and WiFi systems throughout Q2 Stadium to boost connectivity and offer access to stadium technology features, a large LED videoboard and interactive ribbon panel technology. Henderson helped Q2 Stadium become the first MLS dedicated stadium to install an entire field lighting system of tunable RGB LED lights.
With its LEED Gold certification, the impact of Q2 Stadium stretches far beyond gameday. It is a year-round, multiple-purpose venue that enhances the City’s North Burnet Gateway project — Austin’s second downtown.
