Headquartered in Phoenix, Sprouts has established itself as a leader in proving that grocery stores are, in fact, fruitful design opportunities. As a partner of one of the fastest-growing grocery retailers in the country, Henderson Engineers is proud to serve as an Engineer of Record for Sprouts nationwide. Architects and engineers are continually tasked with designing the grocery store of the future. We performed a value engineering review to evaluate the prototype standards and made recommendations for cost savings. Where the owner approved our recommendations, construction costs were significantly reduced. Sprouts prides themselves on offering a healthy, affordable grocery store designed to be easy to navigate, similar to a classic farmers market. It was imperative that our building systems promoted the natural flow of the consumer's journey throughout the entire store. Sprouts stays grounded in its roots, where good food and good taste go hand in hand with fresh, natural ingredients.
