HEI Project Profile - Long

With a long-standing history spanning 100 years, Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital has been dedicated to serving patients through people-centered care since their founding. In order to continue meeting the needs of their community, plans for a new cancer center at Ypsilanti were made. Connected to an adjacent two-story structure, an extension of the building’s systems was required. The entire building was then renovated to include all new mechanical, plumbing, and electrical services while maintaining the main electrical, chilled water, steam, and medical gas services. Infusion bays, conference space, an atrium, general examination spaces, and a USP 797/800-compliant pharmacy were included in the project. The process to become USP 797/800 compliant can be daunting, but with hundreds of these projects under our belt,we were able to successfully walkthe owner through the process. As an established and trusted partner, Henderson Engineers was chosen by the owner directly and provided multiple initial assessments for planning and design implementation prior to the project being awarded to the architect and contractor. *Professional engineering services in the states of New York, North Carolina, and Michigan are provided by HNY Consulting Engineers.
