Henderson Engineers analyzed the condition of this building’s infrastructure and provided a 5-year master plan for upgrades. Following the master plan, Henderson designed a complete controls replacement/upgrade for the building. All unitary and central controllers were replaced, along with most sensors and actuators. New programming was implemented to optimize energy performance and improve building environmental control. Equipment near the end of its life was replaced with updated, more efficient units. The elevators were replaced and equipped with microprocessor-based controls. The Henderson team performed detailed field verification to ensure that the existing work was shown accurately on the drawings. This allowed for a smooth installation with no change orders due to unforeseen conditions. The construction documents provided a phased implementation plan to insure the building remained in operation throughout the duration of construction.
